ePages and zanox agree on strategic cooperation within the context of OMD

Düsseldorf, 20 September 2006. Within the framework of the OMD, the company ePages Software GmbH, a leading provider of online shop platforms, and the company ZANOX.de AG, the market leader in success-based multi-channel commerce, have announced a strategic partnership for the online shopping sales channel.

Operators of ePages-based online shops are being connected to the whole zanox affiliate network. Products from the online shops can be sold via the zanox affiliate network, thereby benefiting from the large international audience and the above-average, high conversion rates.

The zanox sales partners and publishers receive access to the ePages shops; in this respect, the customary zanox branding is being retained. Using the ePages shop technology as a basis, zanox publishers can in the future integrate and present product offers in an easier manner.

The zanox CTO, Jens Hewald, spoke about the strategic partnership: “Due to our similar business approach and the international design of our goods, joint product development was a logical step. As a result of the cooperation we are expecting above all a large number of transactions and high sales within our network.”

The zanox CFO, Heiko Rauch, adds: “The cooperation with ePages is strategic in nature and provides substantial synergies in the area of online shopping. We are providing our trusted shopping channel and, at the same time, expanding our product range on an international basis. We are looking forward to the partnership.”

ePages CEO Arndt Groth comments: “With zanox we are offering our 30,000 customers a connection to the international leader among affiliate networks at the click of a mouse. An important element is thus being added to the online marketing functions of the ePages shops. In addition, we see great potential in the zanox publishers using ePages shops in the future to integrate products from several providers on one platform. In future, all ePages customers can integrate the tried-and-tested zanox form of word-of-mouth marketing into their shop in a simple and speedy manner at the click of a mouse. Zanox can thus extend its product range to a large number of small- and medium-sized shops. Hosting providers which market ePages shops can use wholly new features from the zanox network. The ePages shops and the zanox product catalogue are being wholly integrated into the online shopping area.

Integration is taking place using a newly-developed cartridge. In this respect, both a dynamic form of product data retrieval and the corresponding tracking, as well as integration of the recommendation function and the freely configurable shop search function, are being supported. As a special highlight, ePages product data can be listed in the zanox shopping solutions´ 60,000 instances in 15 different countries.

The new cartridge was specially designed by Mobizcorp Europe for zanox and technical support will in the future be provided in this respect by the Mobizcorp eCommerce Competence Group Mobizcorp.
